THE HISTORY

Casa en la Ría, originally constructed in 1925, has played many different roles over the years, from a modest country home with farmland and animals, a fruit shop, and a restaurant, to most recently, a translation business.

For generations, this property has been the setting for many important celebrations, including weddings, special birthdays, feasts...

After our grandfather passed away in New Jersey, USA, our widowed grandmother expanded the house so she could leave it to her two children. She essentially built two homes in one: the right side for our aunt and the left side for our father.

Our side of the building consists of four floors, each with its unique character, nestled in a setting with unobstructed views of the picturesque Ría do Burgo.

The property includes three independent apartments and a spacious garden that extends to the Boardwalk of Ría do Burgo.

Traditionally, families lived off the land and sea, cultivating crops that sustained them through the winter and fishing during the warmer months. With an abundance of fruit trees and a variety of crops, food was plentiful year-round, allowing them to be completely self-sufficient.

The lifestyle has changed, so we no longer farm or have animals, but we still have an abundance of fruit.

This property has been a cherished part of our family for generations, and we hope you can create your own precious memories here as well.
